Boiler Bolt-On · Optional finishing work
Joinery work
A new boiler position or altered pipework can leave a cupboard or wall needing a proper finish. We can include specific joinery—such as a boiler cupboard, removable pipe boxing or an access panel—when it is agreed in your written quote.
Before and after
From exposed work to an accessible finish
The example below shows a cupboard with an openable door and removable pipe panel. It is a design concept, not a promise that every boiler can be enclosed this way.
Before · exposed installation
After · agreed joinery
What joinery could be included?
Boiler cupboard
A suitable cabinet or altered existing cupboard, with an openable door and the access the appliance requires.
Pipe boxing
Neat covers for visible pipe runs, designed so important valves or joints remain reachable where required.
Making good
Shelves, trims, panels or cabinet adjustments specifically identified in the written quotation.
What is involved
- Measuring the space and agreeing the desired visible finish.
- Making or adapting the cupboard, boxing or access panels listed in the quote.
- Keeping the boiler and serviceable components accessible.
- Checking the installed finish against the agreed dimensions and scope.
What we check at survey
- Boiler model, manufacturer’s required clearances and access for future service.
- Pipe and valve positions, electrical controls and any components that need a removable panel.
- Existing cabinetry, wall condition, dimensions and suitable materials.
- Any ventilation or fire-safety requirements relevant to the chosen appliance and location.
What affects the quote
- New bespoke joinery versus altering an existing cupboard.
- Materials, dimensions, doors, hinges, access panels and finish.
- Obstructions, awkward pipe routes and whether parts of the room need making good.
- Painting, decorating or matching existing units if expressly requested.
What your written quote includes
- The exact cupboards, boxing, shelves or panels to be supplied and fitted.
- Materials, finish, access provision and any existing units to be altered.
- Who carries out each part of the work and when it follows the boiler installation.
- Any excluded decoration, painting, tiling or other making good.
Joinery work questions
Can you box a boiler in completely?
Not without considering access and the selected boiler’s requirements. A door and suitable clearances must allow safe installation, servicing and repairs. We agree the design after survey.
Can you make the pipework disappear?
We can discuss boxing visible runs, but valves and other parts needing access cannot simply be sealed away. The quote will show what is covered and which panels are removable.
Will the finish match my kitchen?
We can assess a match or a practical complementary finish. Matching depends on available materials and existing units, and any exact finish must be specified in the quote.
Is painting included?
Only if your written quotation says so. Joinery, decoration and other making good can be separate scopes.
Can I keep my existing cupboard?
Possibly. We check its dimensions and access against the new appliance and altered pipes before agreeing whether it can be reused or modified.
Plan the boiler finish with us
Tell us your postcode, where the boiler will sit and whether you want a cupboard, boxing or access panel. Photos of the space are useful for the initial conversation; the final scope is confirmed at survey.
