More than a quick look
A service is planned maintenance: checking the appliance, carrying out the specified cleaning and testing its operation. It can help identify developing problems, support safe operation and maintain the service history required by your warranty terms. It cannot guarantee that a boiler will never break down.
We identify the make and model, review any concerns or fault history, and follow the applicable manufacturer’s service instructions.
Visual checks cover accessible components, signs of leaks or corrosion, seals, pipework, ventilation and the flue where applicable.
We inspect the burner, combustion chamber, heat exchanger and ignition components, cleaning them as specified for the model. Dismantling and cleaning methods vary by appliance.
Where fitted and safely accessible, we service the magnetic system filter and remove collected debris. We check the condensate trap and drainage, cleaning as required by the appliance instructions.
For gas boilers, checks include combustion readings, the gas supply and flue, alongside relevant safety devices, controls and operating pressures, following the model-specific procedure.
We record the service, explain findings and flag recommended work. If parts, seals or a service kit are required, we discuss the cost and next steps before additional work.
Your boiler’s instructions come first. This is a customer overview, not a universal technical checklist. Cleaning a filter is not the same as flushing the whole heating system. A separate landlord gas safety record is not included unless specifically arranged.
A magnetic filter collects circulating magnetic debris. Cleaning it helps it keep doing its job, but it does not remove all the sludge already in radiators and pipework. Cold patches, repeated circulation problems or dirty system water may call for further investigation.
Where appropriate, we can discuss water-quality checks, inhibitor treatment and a separately quoted MagnaCleanse clean. We recommend the work your system needs after assessing it.

Call-out · £99
The call-out charge is separate from routine servicing. Any additional repair work or replacement parts will be explained and quoted before you agree to proceed.
If your boiler has stopped working, is leaking, losing pressure or showing a fault code, request a repair assessment. A breakdown needs diagnosis; it should not be booked as a routine £99 service.
Send the boiler make/model, fault code if shown, postcode and a short description. A photo of the display can help. Let us know if you have no heating or hot water.
The office confirms availability and what the £99 call-out covers before arranging a visit. We do not promise same-day or 24-hour attendance.
After diagnosis, we explain the fault and proposed repair costs. If a manufacturer warranty may apply, we discuss that route before chargeable work.

One dripping tap, a radiator valve or a small electrical job: you do not need a full renovation to contact MPH. Tell us what needs attention and we’ll confirm the right trade, scope, availability and price.
Send a short description and photographs where helpful. Repair work is quoted separately from servicing.
Work is assessed and carried out by an appropriately qualified electrician, with testing and certification where required.
We use the instructions for the actual appliance in your home. A gas boiler, oil boiler and electric boiler need different maintenance; an electric boiler has no gas burner or combustion flue to service.
Inspection, safety checks and component cleaning follow the appliance instructions. Keep your service history for the applicable warranty terms.
Viessmann servicing guidanceNavien recommends yearly servicing for its gas and oil boilers. Tell us your model so the correct servicing procedure and any required kit can be checked.
Navien annual service guidanceAriston directs owners to the product manual for maintenance requirements. Checks and cleaning depend on the appliance, with service records retained for warranty purposes.
Ariston maintenance guidanceElectric heating has a different maintenance routine. The relevant manual governs checks such as system pressure and water treatment; gas combustion tests do not apply.

Explore heating and fuel typesAnnual servicing is generally recommended for gas boilers and is often a warranty condition. Follow your exact model’s instructions and warranty terms. Report faults when they occur rather than waiting for the annual visit.
No. The £99 price covers the routine domestic gas boiler service described above. Fault diagnosis, repairs, replacement parts, service kits and flushing are separate. Tell us about an existing fault when you enquire so we arrange the right visit.
Burner and heat-exchanger inspection and cleaning follow the manufacturer’s procedure. We service a fitted magnetic filter where safely accessible, and check the condensate trap as applicable. If a required replacement seal or kit is needed, we explain that before extra work.
We record the work carried out. Have your service book or warranty details available so the appropriate record can be completed. Warranty cover always depends on the manufacturer’s full terms.
No. Servicing maintains the appliance; a landlord gas safety inspection has a separate purpose and record. Tell us if you need both so the scope and price can be agreed.
Provide safe access to the boiler and any fitted filter, have your service history ready, and tell us about access restrictions or symptoms in advance. Do not remove the casing or attempt internal repairs yourself.
