Replacing an existing combi with a suitable new model. We check heating demand, hot-water use, mains flow, gas supply, flue position, condensate drainage and controls. A similar-looking boiler does not automatically mean a like-for-like installation.
At survey: Existing pipework and controls are assessed for reuse. Any upgrades or relocation are identified in the quotation.
Discuss this installationA conversion can replace a boiler-and-cylinder arrangement with on-demand hot water where the property is suitable. We assess simultaneous hot-water demand and incoming mains performance before recommending it.
At survey: Removal or disconnection of redundant cylinders, tanks and pipework is specified in the quote. A combi is not the best choice for every home.
Discuss this installationA planned heating system brings together the heat source, pipework, radiators, valves and controls. We assess room heat requirements and agree radiator positions, routes and control zones.
At survey: Your quotation identifies the equipment, access, lifting floors, electrical work and making good included. Existing components are retained only where suitable.
Discuss this installationConsidering a different hot-water arrangement? We compare your current cylinder with suitable replacement storage or instantaneous water-heating options, including electric products where appropriate.
At survey: Capacity, recovery time, simultaneous demand, water pressure, electrical supply and safety discharge arrangements must be assessed. A water heater supplies hot water; it does not automatically replace space heating.

At survey: Safe decommissioning, removal, redundant pipework and any fireplace or chimney work are scoped separately. Building work, making good and any suspected hazardous materials need assessment before work.

We assess the fuel available, your heating demand, installation constraints and likely operating costs before recommending a system. Each fuel needs the appropriate appliance and competent installer.
Combi, system and regular boiler options, with gas supply, flue, ventilation and condensate requirements checked for the chosen model.
For suitable off-mains properties. The appliance must be specified or correctly configured for LPG, with the supply, storage arrangements and manufacturer requirements assessed.
Oil-fired boiler options for appropriate homes, considering the tank and supply, appliance location, flue and condensate. Tank replacement or remedial work is separately identified where needed.
Electric boilers and hot-water equipment need checks on electrical capacity, circuits, controls and the property’s heat demand. Running costs depend on demand and tariff; savings are not assumed.
Hot-water heaters and storage heaters have distinct purposes. We can discuss these as part of your overall heating plan; they are not interchangeable with every boiler system.

Gregor is part of MPH’s plumbing and heating team and is the face of our installation service. The focus is on carrying out the agreed work, checking the completed system and helping you understand your new heating and controls.
Your installation is allocated to the appropriate available team for the appliance and fuel type. We confirm arrangements before work starts.
Meet the wider MPH teamWe review the current system, heat and hot-water demand, available fuel, access, electrical supply and installation routes. Ask about an initial video survey where suitable; site checks may still be required.
Review the appliance, controls, labour and any conversion work. Flues, gas-supply upgrades, condensate routes, radiator changes and building work are itemised where applicable.
We agree access, dates and expected disruption. The old system is safely disconnected and the agreed new equipment fitted by the relevant trades.
System condition determines the cleaning and water treatment required. Filter provision and any MagnaCleanse work are specified in the quotation.
System cleaning & filtersThe installation is commissioned to the applicable requirements. We explain the controls and hand over the relevant records, registration information and maintenance guidance.
Follow the appliance’s service requirements and warranty conditions. Contact us if you need help with the installation or want to arrange servicing.
Servicing & repairsPaul’s plumbing and jobbing team handles enquiries for radiator repairs, replacements, additional radiators, valves and TRVs. These are assessed and quoted for your system and the work required.
Radiator work with Paul’s teamNo. Suitability depends on mains flow and pressure, hot-water demand, pipework and the proposed appliance. Keeping a cylinder may better suit some households.
A water heater may replace a particular hot-water function if correctly sized and installed. Space heating needs a separate assessment. We consider both heating and hot water before proposing a conversion.
The survey and quotation state the agreed decommissioning and removal work. Associated fire, chimney, fireplace and making-good work are assessed and priced as needed.
Both depend on the survey, equipment and extent of the work. We provide the scope and price before you commit and agree the schedule rather than promise a universal one-day installation.
