ADEY MagnaCleanse, Filters & System Care

ADEY SYSTEM CARE · MPH BOILERS

Clean water. Protected heating. A warmer home.

Your boiler, radiators and pipework work together. Explore ADEY MagnaCleanse cleaning, MagnaClean filtration and inhibitor protection with MPH — and ask us what your heating system actually needs.

Ask about a MagnaCleanse clean

What is MagnaCleanse?

MagnaCleanse is ADEY’s system-flushing equipment. Used with an appropriate cleaning treatment and radiator agitation, it helps loosen and capture debris that has collected inside the heating system.

Magnetic sludge, also called magnetite, forms through corrosion. Removing it can help restore circulation and heating performance where contamination is the cause of the problem.

A system clean and a magnetic filter do different jobs.

The MagnaCleanse equipment is used during the clean. A MagnaClean filter stays fitted afterwards to collect circulating magnetic debris.

Clean. Capture. Protect.

01 · CLEAN

MagnaCleanse

A professional clean targets existing sludge and debris. We assess your system before recommending the appropriate cleaning work.

02 · CAPTURE

MagnaClean filter

A permanently fitted magnetic filter collects circulating magnetic debris after the clean. It needs checking and cleaning as part of ongoing maintenance.

03 · PROTECT

Inhibitor treatment

An appropriate inhibitor helps reduce future corrosion. Treatment and maintenance must suit your system and the boiler manufacturer’s requirements.

Your quotation will confirm the cleaning method, filter, water treatment and price included for your installation.

KEEP THE PROTECTION WORKING

The clean is the beginning.

Ask your engineer to check the filter and system water during ongoing maintenance. Captured debris needs removing; inhibitor protection needs checking, especially after water has been drained or replaced.

Why fit a magnetic filter?

ADEY’s MagnaClean Professional2 is one example of a permanent filter designed to collect circulating debris. The model, position and access for servicing must suit the installation. A filter helps protect a cleaned system; it does not replace the work needed to remove established deposits.

See ADEY’s Professional2 information

Why add inhibitor?

Inhibitor and a filter have different roles. A suitable corrosion inhibitor helps slow the formation of further corrosion products. Your engineer should select and check the treatment against the equipment and manufacturer’s instructions.

Read ADEY’s homeowner guidance

Before accepting a quote, ask which clean, filter and treatment are included, how the result will be checked and what ongoing care is required. A stainless-steel heat exchanger still needs the system care specified by its manufacturer.

When should we take a look?

  • You’re replacing a boiler and want the existing heating circuit assessed.
  • Some radiators heat unevenly or have cold areas.
  • You’ve been advised that the system water contains sludge or debris.

These symptoms can have other causes. A survey helps establish whether cleaning, balancing, repairs or a combination of work is appropriate. A clean cannot repair damaged pipework or a faulty radiator.

Your questions, answered.

Is MagnaCleanse the same as power flushing?

They are not interchangeable names. MagnaCleanse uses ADEY’s flushing equipment to capture debris during cleaning. A power-flushing machine is a different tool; the appropriate approach depends on the system and contamination. Ask which method is proposed and why.

Is MagnaCleanse the same as a MagnaClean filter?

No. MagnaCleanse is used for the cleaning process. A MagnaClean filter remains fitted to capture circulating magnetic debris afterwards. Inhibitor provides a further, separate layer of corrosion protection.

Is it included with every new boiler?

Check your quotation. We’ll confirm the recommended system clean, filter and water treatment, with the included work and any additional cost clearly stated.

How long will it take?

The time depends on your heating system, its condition and the work required. We’ll discuss the expected scope and disruption before work starts.

Will it reduce my heating bills?

Cleaning can improve performance where sludge is restricting the system. The result depends on its condition, controls and use; we do not promise a fixed saving.

Does a stainless-steel heat exchanger still need protection?

Yes. Choosing a boiler with a stainless-steel heat exchanger does not remove the need to follow its water-quality and maintenance requirements. Ask us to explain the care specified for your chosen model.
